AN EXTRAORDINARY ORIGINAL PAINTING

JFK's Rocker
Original Painting by Jacqueline B. Kennedy
IN THE OVAL OFFICE THE PRESIDENT CAN BE SEEN WITH THE WHITE HOUSE PAINTING - BY THE FIRST LADY - ON THE ROUND TABLE IN THE BACKGROUND
Sometime between 1961 and 1963, First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy
Observed a Large Oil Painting of The White House as it Appeared,
Approximately in 1805. In fact, this same Original Oil Painting has been
Hung in The Oval Office by almost all President's ever since.

The Highly Skilled First Lady Propped Up Her Easel (Shown lower right with Caroline and Easel) and Took her Watercolors and Brush to form this Accurate and Beautiful Rendition of The White House as it Appeared in 1805 - A First Class Result!

Mrs. Kennedy Meant this as a Significant Gift for John F. Kennedy
and So Indicated by Personalizing it, with The President's Own Name,
on the Verso of the Picture Frame. Mrs. Kennedy also Signed this 5×7 Inch
Painting in an Uncharacteristic Format...Normally The First Lady Signed
Her Artistic Renderings, J.B.K. However, Mrs. Kennedy Signed this,
“J to J” (Jaqueline to Jack).

Of Serious Historical Importance, is the Fact that President Kennedy can be seen upper right in his rocker in The Oval Office Facing this Actual Original Painting, which sets on a Round Table under a lamp on a Small Easel.

Mrs. Lincoln presented the Bookend to Mr. Amyx along with detailed historical Provenance on White House Stationary.

The Gold and Black Bookend (8.25" x 6"), is in the design of a wind-swept Eagle, nestled above Golden Stars. JFK, an avid reader, would have found Bookends
an essential part of his daily and political Life. A JFK bookend is to Be Seen

Center Portion of the Picture Below. Actually, JFK had more than one set of these exact same style eagle bookends, just as many other people have, within their own personal library duplicate sets of bookends. Mrs. Lincoln shared one set with my close friend Robert L. White as a gift. She sold one other set plus a single bookend to me. I was a friend of Mrs. Lincoln. But the difference was that while the President's Secretary liked me - well she loved Robert White.
